Local Deals Directory hosts promotional pages for participating local businesses. This page explains what we record when you visit one and why.

What we record

• The page you visited and when.
• Campaign details carried in the link you followed, such as utm_ parameters and advertising click identifiers (for example Facebook's fbclid or Google's gclid).
• The referring page, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string.
• Whether you tapped through to the business's online shop.

Cookies

• ld_vid: a random identifier that lets us recognise a return visit. It contains no personal details and lasts up to one year.
• ld_age: remembers that you confirmed your age, for up to 30 days.

Why

We use this information to show a participating business which of its promotions led visitors to its shop and to purchases there. We share it only with that business and with PROTEUS, the platform that operates this service and the business's online shop. We do not sell it.

Purchases

When you continue to a business's shop, that shop's own privacy policy applies to your account and orders.
